Start-up Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SCIE), is a centre established by National Institute of Technology, Delhi for its students. This is an initiative by central government. While the Union ministry of human resource development will provide 25 lakh per year, the directorate of science and technology will offer an equal amount as aid for the centre. The centre is set up to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by converting and translating technology ideas and innovation in various disciplines of science and engineering into products, processes and services for commercial exploitation and the benefit of society.
